A 5th place for Daniel Negreanu at the Pot-Limit Hold'em event ' em. the beginning of the HeadsUp format in mixed max. a 37th place for Gylbert Drolet and a final table which may be very interesting in Stud; Todd Brunson, Daniel Negreanu and Jeff Madsen in the top 10 in Omaha hi-low. Here is summary of June 1 to the WSOP 2012.
Event #5 – Pot - Limit Hold'em $ 1500: A 5th place for Negreanu; victory of Nick Jivkov
The nine players were back for the final table of this Pot-Limit Hold'em event ' Em, then the attention focused on Canadian Daniel Negreanu who had the chance to win his first bracelet since 2008. With seven players with less than 20 bigblinds, the action is quickly changed to "festival of the all-in. In fact, even the leader in token, Bryan Pellegrino, was a carpet of barely 50 bigblinds.
The first victim was Keanu Tamzin: his TT found himself all in preflop against Pellegrino 98o. A pair on the flop, followed by a second pair on the river for Pellegrino sent Tamzin as spectator.
Quickly is John Eames who found himself in trouble as he found himself all in preflop with A6o against the pair of ACEs of Nick Jivkov. No miracle for Eames, and he left in 8th place.
In 7th place, Brant Hale. While it was very shortstack, he simply went all in without even looking at his cards. His J5o found against an ATo, and this was sufficient to put the tournament KO.
Mike Allis was the following. Although he was able to double several times, he made a bluff too much while he pushed all-in on a flop of 7-9-A with 3-4. His opponent, Nick Jivkov, drew with his pair of Kings.
Finally, in 5th position, there is Daniel Negreanu. He found himself all in preflop with CQA against Lao of Zhivkov. While he was favorite, the flop TQ9 brought top pair to Negreanu... but also a draw in a row for Zhivkov. The turn was an innocent 2, leaving Zhivkov with only 8 outs. Unfortunately for Negreanu, the river brought one of these 8 cards: the King who had complete suite for Zhivkov, eliminating the time Negreanu.
Zhivkov again had to rely on lady luck to eliminate Tommy Vedes in 4th place. On a flop JT4 along, Vedes pushed with J6 and was called by the Zhivkov T9. A 9 on the River allowed Zhivkov to improve his lot and eliminate another player.
Then, while Jonathan Aguiar and Bryan Pellegrino has attacked each other while Zhivkov waited patiently, Pellegrino A8s has been able to hold out against the QJs de Aguiar, leaving this last with a handful of chips. Zhivkov will have then had to win the 50/50 with its 99 tale CQA de Aguiar.
At the beginning of the duel between Pellegrino and Zhivkov (which had already eliminated personally 5 players on the final table!), Zhivkov had an advantage of 3: 1 in terms of token. Despite a good performance of Pellegrino, it was not enough to return to the part. He finally had to push all-in with J9o preflop against TT of Zhivkov. The hand of Zhivkov was able to take the shot, allowing the latter to win his first WSOP bracelet and an amount of $ 189
Event #6 – No - Limit Hold'Em Mixed Max $ 5000: beginning of the 'HeadsUp' format
More than 100 players were back for this second stage of the tournament Mixed Max. This time, it's in shorthanded (6-max) that continued action until there are only 32 players.
Finally, he had two victims on the last hand of the day, so that it remains only 31 players. As the last stage of the tournament takes place in format 'HeadsUp' where the player with the most chips meets the player with the fewest, the leader in chips of the day, Warwick Mirzikinian, just received a bye for the next round.

Event #7 - Seven-Card Stud $ 1500: A 37th place for Gylbert Drolet... and a final table which promises to be exciting!
Gylbert Drolet, Jonathan Duhamel and Miguel Proulx were back on the second day of this event in an attempt to survive an extra day. The action was fast on this second day, and players fell as of flies. While Duhamel and Proulx were not able to reach the paid places, Gylbert Drolet, him, managed to survive the bubble... to finish four positions later in 37th place. He won a scholarship of $ 2685.
The action continued until there are only nine players, dominated by David Williams at the top, followed by Andy Bloch and Barry Greenstein. It is therefore a final table that promises.

Event #8 - Omaha Hi-Low split 8-or-better $ 1500: Todd Brunson and Daniel Negreanu in the top 10.
Many inscriptions (967) for the tournament's Omaha Hi-Low, but only three Quebecers: Marc Aubin, Adam Coviensky and Marc Lemesle.
After a day of play, we've gone from 967 players at 220. There are still a hundred disposals before reaching paid places where the last 117 players will win at least $ 2480.
Unfortunately, none of the three Quebecers will be back today. The day was happier for Todd Brunson, who will begin the fourth day. Daniel Negreanu is 8th, while Jeff Madsen follows him in ninth place. The leader of the day is the American Nikolai Yakovenko.
The action will resume today at 1 pm (4 pm hour of Quebec).
