The celebrity tournament, first signed casino Espacejeux.com poker event, was a resounding success and has rewarded the Quebec players with a grant totalling $38,000. Played at the Casino du Lac-Leamy last Saturday, June 18, this tournament blockbuster brought together nearly 80 players, including a dozen of well-known artists to the general public. Include inter alia the presence of Guy A. Lepage, Jean-Nicolas Verreault, Sophie Bourgeois, Peter Miller, Jean-Thomas Jobin and Jean-Pierre Angelil.
The winner of the tournament, Robert D., walked away with a tidy sum of $11,400 after hours of thrilling poker and a few cold sweats. Espacejeux and celebrities were awarded a total of $7,460 to various organizations, sum from premiums elimination as well as a fraction of scholarships pocketed by the winning artists.
