The 2012 WSOP schedule has just been published and PokerCollectif would like to take the opportunity to talk to you about the novelties of this year.
First big feature, there is more November Nine as in past years. Therefore, the Main Event of the WSOP 2012 will take place from 7 to July 16 and the final table will be played October 28 to October 30 due to the U.S. presidential election.
The buy-in will remain $ 10,000 and the structure will be the same as last year.
On the other hand, the organizers decided that there will be no off day, which will have the effect of allowing 1000 participant additional to participate in the tournament.
Among the tournaments, in addition to the Main Event, there will also be the #55 event, the Big One For One Drop which the field will be limited to 48 participants, tournament involving particular Guy Laliberté and Jonathan Duhamel. A portion of the prize pool will be donated to the Foundation One Drop ($ 111,111 to be exact).
Among other new features, 5 new tournaments will be added to the already present tournaments last year. Among these innovations, a heads up tournament which will toggle between Hold'em no limit and Pot Limit Omaha every 20 minutes. The buy-in for this tournament will be $ 3,000 and a maximum of 512 players will be accepted.
Other novelties are also on the program: Mix - Max No - Limit Hold'em $ 5,000 (at this tournament, you will be on a full ring table the first day, on a shorthanded day 2 table and heads up tables when there are no more than 32 players), Four - handed No - Limit Hold'em $ 2,500 and the Only No - Limit Hold'em Ante' $ 1,500 buy-in.
About the tournament to 1 M$ buy-in, it is possible to participate thanks to Espacejeux via satellite. Join one of the satellites to $ 300 + $ 20 to earn you an entry for the tournament to $ 25,000 a major event which will be held at the Casino du Lac-Leamy on 19 and 20 may 2012. The winner of this tournament will win headquarters for the tournament at 1 M$.
