2011 WSOP - PhilLeDingue in a good position - summary of June 21

Event #34 (Hold' no limit to $ 1000)-Mark Schmid WINS

With 27 players back for this last day of hostilities, it st Mark 'pimpindonks' Schmid who has the most distinguished. Having started the day in 17th place, Schmid has reached the final table with more than double the chips on his nearest opponent.
In headsup, things are tough for Schmid who was several times in difficulties facing Justin Cohen. While the latter had Mark Schmid in cables, a lucky River allowed Schmid to stay in the match, go back its deficit and win the match.

Event #35 (Pot-Limit Omaha Six-Handed $ 5000) - 33rd place for the Québécois Ryan Dallazizzo
They were 105 at the dawn of day 2, and they are more than 15. Among the 105 entrants, a single Quebecer was always in contention: Ryan Dallazizzo. This last was able to offer excellent performance, finishing 33rd and pocketing $ 13,248.
The chip leader of the previous day, Vanessa Selbst, due to bow at the end of day at the 18th rank then as Erick Lindgren, 2nd at the beginning of the day, followed Selbst a few minutes later. Tom 'durrrrr' Dwan was the last player eliminated from the day.

This is the case of Philippe Boucher (PhilLeDingue), which is currently ranked 31st. It is followed by the Montreal Philippe Belley, while Patrick Braga (Kfax) can be found behind the 241st ranked.
There is still much poker to play before some can get away with a paycheck, while only the first 171 positions ensure $ 5207.
For the moment, it is the Marvin Rettenmaier German who is the leader in token, but it is followed very closely by two Americans (Dan O'Brien and Sudhakara Kattamuri). The winner put the hand on an amount of $ 749 610.

Event #37 (H.O.R.S.E. Championship $ 10,000) - a line-up interssant, but no Quebec participants
With the slight decrease in popularity this year in tournaments of mixed variants, many were skeptical about the number of participants who would be attracted by the high buy-in event. Organizers can nevertheless say mission accomplished, while they have fallen to a single player to match the participation of last year (240 players against 241 in 2010). Among them, no Quebec member of the delegation was not there.
With a slow structure, little elimination was expected today. The first day however made near 60 victims. While Ron 'Grinch' Ware sits at the top with 122 300 tokens. Canadian Daniel Negreanu is also good figure, lying fourth not far behind. Many other players are still present, so Barry Greenstein (7th) as well as a few players french including Fabrice Soulier (19th), David Benyamine (41st), Claude Marbleu (100th), Roger Hairabedian (145th), Alexandre 'alexonmoon' (155th) Luneau, Bruno Fitoussi (166th).
The 173 remaining players will try to get their hands on the $ 609 130 offered to the winner... or at least, rank among the 24 first places to reach $ 21 905.

-Philippe 'PhilLeDingue' Boucher, Patrick 'Kfax' Braga and Philippe Belley in the #36 tournament.
-There are many players in the tournaments at #35 and #37.
-Beginning of a Hold'em Tournament 'em without limit to $ 1500 and Pot-Limit Hold 'em/Omaha at $ 2500 which should attract a lot of players, including several Quebeckers.
