Event #29 Seniors No-Limit Hold'em Championship ($1000) - Allyn Jaffrey Shulman wins the bracelet!

It was yesterday that had held the grand finale of the event. When the action resumed, he remained more than 4 players in the race. The stacks were as follows:

Dennis Philips: 5.3 M
BobPhelps: 3.4 M
Hoyt Corkins. 1.9 M
Allyn Jaffrey Shulman: 1.6 M

To the surprise of many, it is finally the shortstack of the table which has prevailed! Allyn Jaffrey Shulman finished so first for $ 603,713! It's his first bracelet in his career, which has already won 6 awards in the WSOP tournaments. Allyn participates in the World Series since 2005 tournaments already.

It is Zhiqiang Philips who finished 2nd for $ 372,895 and Bob Phelps who finished 3rd for $ 270,727!

Remember that 4128 people are registered in this tournament where he had to have 50 years and more, to participate, which obviously shows a great success!

Event #31 No-Limit Hold'em ($1500) - Joe Cada finished 2nd

Several Quebec participated in this tournament, but all fell pretty quickly. At the time of continuing the action in this tournament yesterday, it was Joe Cada, who was leader in chips, the 2009 World champion.

On the final hand, Cada is shortstack with 1.3 M chips against the 12.6 M of tokens of his opponent. The button he pushed all-in with 97o15 and is caller by the QJ of his opponent. The board falls T-5-3-5-6 and Philips wins the pot, the tournament, the bracelet and the $ 664,130 that follow!
Joe "Beatrice" Cada has won 7 awards in tournaments of the WSOP for a total of 9 M$.

Event #32 H.O.R.S.E. ($10,000) - 2 Phil are eliminated 5th and 4th

Given that our only registered Quebecers in this tournament (Jonathan Duhamel) had been quickly eliminated, our attention was focused on two major poker Phil who were still in competition (Ivey and Hellmuth).
When the final table of the tournament is composed, the two Phil were in a good position with a stack of slightly smaller than the chip leader of the table, John Monnette.

After long hours of games, it was David Bakes Baker who has won this tournament with $ 10,000. First place, is paid $ 451,779!

Phil Ivey Meanwhile finished fifth, just behind Phil Hellmuth 4th. Both players are respectively deserve $ 99,739, and $ 134,056 for their performance!

You will note that Mr Ivey, the Tiger Woods of poker as many like to call it, has already 4 final tables since the start of the 2012 WSOP!

Event #33 No Limit Hold'em ($1000) - "Guacamole Poker" finished 55th!

We obviously follow this tournament very closely given that a highly respected member of our community is going well since the beginning! He was also the leader among our Quebec still in contention in this tournament, i.e. Marc-Étienne "Marke" Blais.

Among other Quebecers in the race, Miguel "Mig" Proulx. Momentum is unfortunately stopped in the 212th position. For his performance, he won $ 2,012.

Further, the 131st ranked found Luc Michaud, who him nor could not cross that day. For his 131st place, it earned $ 2,767.

Remained only Marc - Étienne Blais in the race. (nicknamed 'Guacamole Poker' since Da_Engineer, alias the grower of apples, sent a tweet to PokerNews and to add, Duhamel has decided to confirm the information).

The end of his journey is frustrating. Marc-Étienne has finished 55th when his AKs (all in preflop) could not resist the AJ to his opponent.

For his 55th place, Marc pockets $ 5,786. Bravo 'Guacamole Poker' for this performance! As you it said yourself yesterday, you'll have other tournaments to resume you!

At this stage, it remains only 14 players of 2795 registered players. All are guaranteed to win $ 19,847. The winner of this tournament will win $ 440,238.

Event #34 of Pot-Limit Omaha / 6max ($5000) - Sam Chartier still in the race!

Tournament Pot Limit Omaha in which some Quebecers are enrolled. Note that PhilLeDingue had strong belief to participate, but that for personal reasons, he had to cancel the tournament.

Among Quebecers that could follow yesterday, Miguel "Mig" Proulx, Geoffrey Grover, Jiachen Gong, Jonathan Duhamel, Adam Coviensky, Sam Chartier and Erik Cajelais.

After a day of games, on 419 entries, there are only 72 players including 1 only Quebecers, i.e. Sam Chartier which is currently 36th with 75000 tokens! The leader is currently David Benyamine 248,300 tokens! When the action resumes today, the blinds will be 300/600.

We will follow so closely the performance of Sam! The winner of this tournament will Win $ 512,029!

Event #35 Mixed Hold'em ($2500) - Cajelais is shortstack, but still in the race!

393 players participated in this tournament. Among them, 3 québécois: Spencer Stacey, Jonathan Duhamel and Erik Cajelais.

After the day of yesterday, only 1 Quebec was still in the race, i.e. Erik Cajelais which currently has 19,100 tokens and which ranks 65th.

The forefront of this tournament is occupied by Andre Akkari, who has 108,700 tokens!

To watch today:

-Sam Chartier in the event #34 then it is 36th in chips on the 72 remaining players!
