wsop-2011-gabriel-wave-morin-marc-etienne-mclaughlin Half a million dollars raised by Houle Gabriel Morin (GabyGaby) and Marc Etienne McLaughlin (Irish General) in event # 32; missed another chance for Phil Hellmuth Jr. event # 33; New Quebec in revenue seats to the event # 34 and an impressive line-up for the event # 35. Here is the summary of the best day so far for Quebec at the WSOP 2011.

Event # 32 (No-Limit Hold'em $ 1,500)-Friends and General GabyGaby Irish win together more than half a million dollars.
At the dawn of the third day of play and with only 35 players remaining, all hopes were for Houle Gabriel Morin (GabyGaby) and Marc Etienne McLaughlin (General Irish) who were respectively the 4th and 8th.
Momenthum advantage of the previous day, both Quebec and friends continue to offer a brilliant performance and were able to qualify for the final table. McLaughlin even had the audacity to eliminate two players at the table on a single hand, so that the river came AQ improve against the pocket tens and pocket jacks of his opponents.

With four players to make some already dreaming of a headsup duel between the two friends. But the duel arrived a little earlier than expected while Marc-Étienne undertook himself Gabriel: it pushed all-in with Q9o button, while Marc-Étienne called placing the bigblind with KQo. From touring maps, GabyGaby said simply an "I'm sorry," joking that he would make a suckout on his good friend. Unfortunately for him, he received no help from the dealer and had to bow GabyGaby in 4th place.

Then, for more than thirty minutes, plus no showdown, most pots were won preflop. All hopes were now on Marc Etienne McLaughlin stood in the forefront with chips + 5.5m, 5.1m against the Kirk Caldwell and Ben White 2m.

Unfortunately for McLaughlin, White was able to earn its 50/50 while the two players found themselves all-in with 55 (White) vs. ATo (McLaughlin). Then, later, it is McLaughlin who loses his biggest pot when he was Kh5h vs. Jh9h on a 2h-3h-9c table. Both players had therefore a flush draw, but Kirk Caldwell had a pair. The turn and river did not help the Irish, then he should lose the biggest pot of the day on 60/40.

With reduced to 250,000 carpet, McLaughlin has been able to double quickly, not once, not twice, but three times, the replaçait in the pack with 2.4m chips. Unfortunately, he had to bow to the next level finishing in 3 place.

Gabriel Houle-Morin (GabyGaby) thus won the 4th place and $ 211,353 while Marc Etienne McLaughlin (General Irish) won his side the 3rd place and an amount of $ 292,634. The day was auspicious for these two friends, who are now richer than half a million.

It is finally Kirk Caldwell who had the merit to win top honors and the sum of $ 668,276. Ben White finishes 3rd in his side.

Event # 33 (Championship 7-card Stud Hi-Low 8-or-better to $ 10,000) - Another missed opportunity for Phil Hellmuth.
Decidedly, the 12th bracelet Phil Hellmuth is difficult to win (see also the results of the Championship 2-7 Draw Lowball). It was back when 18 players took up the fight on the last day of the championship Stud. With two well-known players filled tables, the task would not be easy for Eric Rodawig: although it has a slight chip lead, then it was only two paying its assets results in the World Series of Poker (a 42nd place HORSE $ 1,500 earlier this year that brought him $ 4,771, and a 5th place in Razz in 2009 that netted him $ 38,470).

The French Antony Lellouche and David Benyamine were able to reach the final table, but Lellouche was the first to exit in 9th place (and he won $ 43,317) and Benyamine followed in 5th place (winning $ 96,836).
For a long time, the remaining four players (Ted Forrest, John Racener, Phil Hellmuth Jr. and Eric Rodawig) were exchanged tokens, and finally Ted Forrest, who left the first by first losing a big pot against Rodawig and losing the rest of his chips against Phil Hellmuth Jr.

With three players remaining, John Racener and Phil Hellmuth seemed to be fighting for the second position, while Eric was well Rodawig control of the game. It is the latter which finally was able to eliminate John Racener.

Rodawig having almost 3 times more chips Hellmuth, we had a bit of luck and meticulous game for the 'poker brat' is able to retake the lead. It was never in the game, always losing everything he regained. After an hour of headsup, Phil Hellmuth had to go to the evidence he would not win a 12th Bracelet today. It merely $ 273,233, while Eric Rodawig was crowned champion and won $ 442,183 ... or 10x more than all the gains it has made a career in the major tournaments.

Event # 35 (Pot-Limit Omaha Six-Handed $ 5,000) - An impressive lineup
507 players participated in this first event PLO 6-handed WSOP history. Not less than 9 Quebec participated in this event and therefore trying to become the first champion of Pot-Limit to 6 players.
