This Wednesday, the Poker Players Alliance (PPA) announced, after talking to the federal Government and the Garden City Group - the firm that was hired to make the evaluation of requests for Full Tilt Poker – that we are more than a few weeks at the end of this interminable chapter. In other words, more a few weeks before the Americans who have money frozen at Full Tilt Poker since tens of months, can finally access.
To this end, John Pappas, Executive Director of ASF, announced Wednesday: "I talked with the money laundering Department and the Department of Justice today and they informed me that they had approved 30,000 applications not raced Full Tilt Poker players".
In his words, the website http://fulltiltpokerclaims.com/ should soon publish an official announcement. Players who have made a non-contested application should receive an email shortly from the Garden City Group with the information needed to collect their payments.
In a recent tweet, PPP also clarified that the total amount of these reimbursements was $82M, which is about half of the money the site flew players. As a reminder, today, Full Tilt Poker belongs to PokerStars and so you can play as safely as if it was on PokerStars.
It is actually good news, but there are still applications played and some players will therefore not receive again for money. No word has been said on this subject.
Estimated 1 million the number of victims in this case in the United States.
This news of the app comes shortly after the news of the Garden City Group, which announced us that Americans could get their money around March 31, 2014. In other words, things are moving faster than expected.
