Russ Hamilton refused to comment on the Ultimate Bet scandal

In a recent interview on Raw Vegas, Russ Hamilton declined to comment on Ultimate Bet cheating scandal. In September, he was appointed by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission (KGC), the Committee regulatory of Ultimate Bet, as the main person in charge of the multiple incidents of cheating and that benefited the most. Hamilron refused to give any comment when approached in Las Vegas after a round of golf...»

The segment on Raw Vegas was filmed by Dave Farra at the country club of Las Vegas.  Hamilton, as he left the field of golf, was joined by the player of poker Layne Flack, who prior to see Raw Vegas staff, had left the scene. Farra asked him: ' are you associated, in any way whatsoever, to the scandal of cheating relatively super user to ultimate bet? '' Hamilton did not, continuing to walk to his car, hand golf clubs. Two other unidentified persons were also with Hamilton during the interview. Neither rely comments.

Farra asked then "would you like the opportunity to apologize to the online poker community?" Hamilton still continued his March, without looking at Farra or the camera. Despite Hamilton is determined to ignore the presence of Farra, the journalist asked him: "when 60 Minutes asked you an interview, you refused. Guilt would not related to this? » User Sleepless at Ultimate Bet has been traced to his home in Las Vegas in 2008. This sparked a wave of assumptions that Hamilton would have premeditated cheating, which was later confirmed by the KGC.

Then, Farra asked: "Have you no regrets?" Hamilton began to look frustrated, occasionally nodding your head while he continued to walk to his car. When he finally arrived at his car, Hamilton was faced with the question: "After playing for so many years within the poker community, do you not think you need to give an answer to the fans and your playmates?". Hamilton nonchalantly put his bag in the trunk of his car, refusing to utter a single word. He then started his car and went into the night. The entire video lasts about three and a half minutes.

Hamilton won the Main Event of the WSOP in 1994, winning a million dollars. In this Event, he defeated the favourite Hugh Vincent; John Spadavecchia was also sitting at the final table of the tournament, which attracted 268 players to Binion, in downtown Las Vegas. Hamilton finished 59th in the Main Event of the WSOP in 2005 for $145 00, making a total of $ 1.2 million to his credit. According to the new "60 Minutes" CBS program, which issued a report on the scandal of the super user Ultimade Bet and his little sister Absolute Poker, Hamilton would still reside in Las Vegas. The address linked to the Sleepless account was 725 Glenview Drive in Las Vegas, although the name matches Lauren B Makar. The e-mail address is This email address is being protected from spambots. In May 2004, ten years after his victory in the Main Event, Hamilton allegedly orchestrated a scam of multimillion dollar on one of the most popular online poker sites. The cheater has used an obsolete tool to see all the cards of the other players at the table. Last July, Tokwiro, the parent company that bought the site of Ultimate Bet in 2006, mandated the Director of the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, Frank Catania, overseeing his investigation. Catania also contributed to the formation of the KGC set regulator when it was introduced. Tokwiro is owned by Joe Norton, one of the great leaders of the tribe's Kahnawake.

The issue made headlines on November 30, when reporters Steve Kroft of '60 Minutes' and Gilbert M. Gault of the Port Washington have teamed up to highlight incidents of cheating in online poker. Several times during the story, Kroft noted that online poker is illegal in the United States, is challenged by the expert on the Act of gambling I Nelsin Rose and the Poker Player Alliance.
