Tuesday was made official the Betsafe transition to the Ongame network. An e-mail sent to players last Monday described the changes that would occur as a result of the transition that had to be completed before 21:00 (CET) European Central time Tuesday.
The online poker room has been a staple of the CryptoLogic network. However, at the end of the first quarter of 2009, CryptoLogic has planned merge its poker rooms online with Boss Network including sites CelebPoker and Paradise Poker. CryptoLogic will then focus its efforts on the development of software. The Ongame network is owned by bwin Interactive Entertainment. Kevin O'Neal recently commented in a press release in January: "we are confident that Betsafe is the ideal partner for us and we look forward to the success and we wish a long lasting partnership. Betsafe has knowledge and expertise and contributes to the liquidity of a segment of customers interesting and perfectly adapted for Ongame Network. "
At 15:45 (CET) last Tuesday, Betsafe players were no longer able to connect to their poker client, sign that the adaptation had begun. Fifteen minutes later, all the players were ousted Betsafe tables and funds were transferred to the accounts of individuals. At 19:30 (CET), funds Betsafe had migrated to the accounts and an hour or half an hour later, the poker room had intended opened its doors officially on the Ongame network. At the close of markets Tuesday, date of passage of Betsafe on Ongame, the network's parent company, bwin Interactive Entertainment, was negotiated down from 0.55 to 18.50. Over the past 52 weeks, it was traded in a range of 10.50 at 24.45. It is found under the "BWIN" symbol.
